Red Wine Chocolate Cake

Red wine and chocolate is a great combination and this cake is moist and flavorful, delicious for a grown-ups’ party or dinner.
Ingredients
3 tablespoons flax seeds, ground
6 tablespoons water
1/2 cup brown sugar
6 tablespoons olive oil
3/4 cup red wine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch of salt
- In a bowl, mix the ground flax seeds with water and let it soak for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the oil and sugar and mix well until combined.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cocoa, and salt. Incorporate the dry ingredients into the oil mixture, alternating it with red wine.
- Grease a 9-inch round pan and pour in the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 350F for 30-40 minutes. Let cool in the pan then transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
